Bravo Pavarotti! This rendition of this song haunts me with its beauty and sincerity. It plays over and over again in my head and I find myself singing this song to myself. It gets me to the core. I miss live Pavarotti and his glorious voice! RIP maesto!

Have never seen him this personally connected to a song with both facial and body gestures. At one with his great accompaniest.

For all the claim of his ability to hit the high, towering notes, his soft pianissimo and diminuendo - the subtle, emotional moments - are just heartbreaking and unforgettable. He was extraordinary.

Sorry, but I had to rush through that last one and never got to finish it! Dame Janet Baker sings both of these last two by Pavarotti. I truly believe that she is as great a singer as Mr. Pavarotti. She does the entire ORFEO and EURIDICE opera if one wants to hear some really magnificent singing!
